Food Quality Technician - 2nd Shift
Location: West Jordan, UT
Shift: 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour, depending on experience

We are seeking a detail-oriented Food Quality Technician to join our Food Safety and Quality Assurance team on second shift.
What You'll Do
As a Food Quality Technician, you will help ensure that products meet Sevillo's food safety and quality standards through inspections, testing, documentation, and active involvement on the production floor.
Key responsibilities include:
- Monitor production lines for food safety, quality, and sanitation compliance
- Conduct pre-operational, operational, and post-production inspections
- Verify ingredients, labels, lot codes, and product specifications
- Perform hourly metal detector verification checks
- Conduct pH, salt, viscosity, temperature, and other quality tests
- Collect and prepare microbiological samples for third-party laboratory testing
- Monitor cooking and cooling temperatures and document results
- Identify and report food safety or quality concerns
- Place affected products on hold when necessary and assist with investigations
- Support HACCP, SQF, GMP, Preventive Controls, and food safety programs
- Participate in daily sensory evaluations
- Maintain accurate quality records and documentation
Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or GED
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Ability to perform basic math calculations and measurements
Preferred:
- Experience in food manufacturing or food quality
- HACCP training or certification
- Food Science degree or related education
- Bilingual English/Spanish
- Experience with ERP systems

Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds

- Comfortable working around food manufacturing equipment, noise, and food aromas
