Job Summary
The Supply Planner is responsible for ensuring the strategy to drive the efficient and effective planning of inventory levels, production schedules, and procurement activities to meet customer demand while minimizing costs and maximizing service levels. This onsite role will manage the end-to-end planning and coordination of product supply to meet customer demand. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and experience with demand forecasting, inventory optimization, and supplier collaboration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain short- and long-term supply plans in alignment with demand forecasts and inventory targets
  • Collaborate with procurement, production, and logistics teams to ensure timely and efficient product availability
  • Analyze supply chain data to identify opportunities for improvement and cost reduction
  • Communicate regularly with external and internal stakeholders to manage lead times, production schedules, and transportation timelines
  • Utilize planning software and tools to generate reports and update planning parameters
  • Support product launches, transitions, and discontinuations through effective planning coordination
  • Align with the Inventory Control Team to review inventory trending and to assist with maintaining optimal inventory levels to meet customer demand and control costs.
  • Coordinate with production teams to address capacity constraints and optimize production efficiency
  • Work closely with procurement teams to ensure cost-effective inventory levels of materials
  • Reporting and Analysis:
    • Prepare regular reports on inventory levels, production capacity plans, and inventory tracking to the demand forecasts
    • Analyze supply chain performance metrics and recommend improvements
Qualifications
Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field
Experience:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in supply chain planning or a related role
  • Experience with inventory management, demand planning, and production scheduling
  • Experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment
  • Familiarity with ERP systems
Skills:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Certifications:
  • APICS Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)
Working Conditions
  • Office environment with occasional travel to supplier and production sites
  • Ability to work flexible hours is needed to meet business demands
Woodland Gourmet hires exceptional people to perform a wide variety of important functions that contribute to the success of our organization.  We offer a competitive compensation package with benefits.  The base salary for this role will be $75,000 to $86,000.   This position is eligible for annual bonus (based on the incentive program terms and conditions).  Based on your qualifications, previous experience, and transferable skills, the company will determine, at its discretion, the salary offered and it will reflect the market conditions and cost of living for your geographic location.
